ASGCT is the largest medicalpr<strong>of</strong>essional organization representing researchers and scientists dedicated todiscovering new gene and cell therapies. ASGCT was established in 1996, andhas grown to 2,000 members from around the world.The <strong>Society</strong>’s goals are to:• Promote Research, Development and Application <strong>of</strong> <strong>Gene</strong>tic and <strong>Cell</strong>ularTherapies to a Wide Variety <strong>of</strong> Human Diseases• Exchange Information and Promote Education Among Pr<strong>of</strong>essionals andthe Public Through the <strong>Society</strong>’s Annual Meetings, the ASGCT Journal,Molecular <strong>Therapy</strong>, and Interactions with Scientific, Medical, and RegulatoryCommunitiesThe ASGCT 13th Annual Meeting will serve as a comprehensive forum to achievethese goals.Abstract Volume – Molecular <strong>Therapy</strong>All abstracts, except Late Abstract Submissions, accepted for presentation atthe ASGCT 13th Annual Meeting have been published in the May supplement<strong>of</strong> Molecular <strong>Therapy</strong>. Each attendee will receive one copy <strong>of</strong> the supplementalong with their registration materials. Late Abstract Submissions accepted forpresentation have been printed in a booklet that will be distributed to eachattendee.AdmissionOfficial name badges will be required for admission to all ASGCT sessions. AllAnnual Meeting attendees receive a name badge with their registration bag.Name badges should be worn at all times inside the hotel, as badges will beused to control access to sessions and activities. Attendees are cautioned againstwearing their name badges while away from the hotel as badges may drawunwanted attention to your status as visitors to Washington, DC.Business Center (FedEx Office)There is a FedEx Office located in the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. Please refrainfrom taking any photos in those locations. Audio taping is also prohibited.<strong>Cell</strong> Phones & PDAsFor the courtesy <strong>of</strong> all presenters and attendees, please ensure that cell phoneand PDA ringers are turned <strong>of</strong>f or silenced during all sessions as they mayinterfere with session audio.Committee MeetingsMost standing and scientific committees will meet during the Annual Meeting.See page 3 for Committee Meeting information.Concierge DeskWashington D.C. and the Woodley Park neighborhood <strong>of</strong>fers a wide variety <strong>of</strong>activities and restaurants to meet all tastes and budgets. Tickets for these sessions are not included in the meeting’sregular registration fees. Tickets will be collected at the door by ushers. Thereare still a limited number <strong>of</strong> tickets available for the Meet-the-Investigatorsessions, which may be obtained at the Registration Desk. Meet-the-Investigatortickets are $30.
