course will explore the legal issues concerning the "Jus In Bello" aspects of warfare, that is, the elements of "Geneva Law" and<br />
"Hague Law" which impinge upon, and limit, military operations. The four Geneva Conventions and the three Additional Protocols<br />
will also be addressed, as will the concept and application of customary International Law. Upon completion of this<br />

understanding of the Jus in Bello aspects of international law; and be aware of the main principles associated with Hague and<br />

courts and international tribunals, to seek redress on war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, and other international<br />
crimes. The two ad hoc International Criminal Tribunals for the Former Yugoslavia and Rwanda/ Burundi (ICTY/ICTR) will be<br />
discussed, as will the International Criminal Court (ICC) and those Special Courts and Tribunals covering international crimes in<br />
