The Irregular Warfare Overview for Joint Force Commanders and Staff Course introduces the online Irregular Warfare (IW) Curriculum,<br />
provides the rationale for training in IW per Secretary of Defense guidance, identifies the IW core and supporting activities<br />
per DoD Directive 3000.07, and elaborates on the DoD endstate for the conduct of IW and the development of IW capabilities<br />

control system in a counter-insurgency environment, all personnel should not only be trained in their individual competence,<br />
but need to understand the in theatre Communication and Information Systems (CIS) capacities. The International Security<br />
Assistance Force (ISAF) relies on CIS systems such as computer equipment and networked communications technology to exchange<br />
information and to communicate effectively. The ISAF environment calls for technologies that offer infrastructures,<br />
