This course is designed to inform operational decision-making in current and future joint urban operations by providing concepts<br />
as ideas for consideration that could help operational commanders plan and conduct urban operations more effectively.<br />
The course builds on prior Joint Operations Professional Military Education (PME) and/or veteran service to share with JTF and<br />
component commanders and staff the synthesis of 5 years of observations regarding how to operate in an urban environment<br />
now and in the next few years to defeat adversaries embedded and diffused within populated urban areas, with acceptable<br />
friendly and noncombatant casualties and without causing catastrophic damage to the functioning of the society there. Twelve<br />
