I was beside them when the leader ledthe discussions and we all made the decisions together. When we had to choose, wealways voted and decided what to do in a democratic way, cosidering the opinions ofeveryone. We worked as a team, doing everything together and everyone was able totake part in the activities. ECA was a great team and managed to inspire their classmates,who came and helped us with all our activities.PROJECT DESCRIPTIONTOPICWe worked on the topic of de<strong>for</strong>estation and we focussed both on recycling paper andplanting – flowers, bushes, herbs and trees. The main message of our project was createdby the students: “The trees are limited, so SPARE a white sheet – SAVE a tree;PLANT a tree – SAVE nature”MAIN ACTIVITIES▪▪Ecological Ants did a research on the local eco problems and created PPT presentations▪▪The team organised an Ecological footprint in<strong>for</strong>mational campaign and led discussionsabout the problem of de<strong>for</strong>estation▪▪ECA held a consultation with experts from the Botanical garden in Sofia▪▪ECA painted posters with powerful messages, displayed them in visible places aroundthe school and used them during the charity events▪▪ECA announced and carried out a contest <strong>for</strong> making recycling bins <strong>for</strong> paper out ofwaste materials <strong>for</strong> every class. The students who created the most original bins weregiven prizesBG▪▪ECA, with the help of other students, announced and organised three fundraisingCookery shows and St Vallentine’s gift exibition▪▪Media work – ECA was interviewed by a reporter from the national newspaperDUMA and a whole page article was published on February 5th.
