off... and put them all around the school. We organiseda lecture and a workshop about the RenewableSources of Energy we collaborated with our localTV Nova TV and local newspaper Glas Istre -they werepresent at our Project Day, and with our City authoritiesand a County of Istria. On the State level, we participatedin the Festival of Science.ACHIEVED OBJECTIVESWe achieved almost all of our stated objectives. TheProject Day at school was the finalisation of the work - itsresults showed how much we all worked.BIGGEST OUTCOMES OF THE PROJECTThe most important changes are raising students’,teachers’ and public awareness of the importance ofreducing the ecological footprint. We hope that theattitude towards the ecological footprint will changein our community. We are sure that some behaviourwill change in our school. The paper collecting willcontinue at school, the headmistress has already giventhis task to the eco-group, so next year it will continue. The eco-patrol planned to get in touch with the localauthorities for the future collaboration. These actionswill help in changing our class, school and community. We motivated students to reduce the use of electricity, water etc.WHAT WENT WELL? WHAT WENT NOT SO WELL?..RECOMMENDATIONSI would certainly recommend the educational impact ofworking on a project. Participating in the ESFALP Academy, the teacher gains new experiences, widens her/hiseducational competencies and opens new possibilitiesof international cooperation, getting to know othercultures and changes in narrower and wider community, which represents the goal and the spirit of ESFALP.IMPACT ON THE SCHOOL’S EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMThe Project Day showed how this kind of project can bepresented to students and teachers, so its methodologiescan be useful for some other projects in the future.HOW DID YOU CELEBRATE?We will organise a visit to the Nature park for thestudents (sport activities and the educational games), theteachers celebrated with a piece of cake, juices and coffee inthe staff room on 3rd May 2013.The students’ work and participation were very good.We had problems when we had to get in contact with thetown institutions, but we were persistent and found allthe necessary people.Projects Report 21
