Note that the cohort represents patients who received a bariatric surgery in2006. In 2007 and 2008, health services costs and visits were greater than in 2004 and 2005.However, the marginal change in health service costs and visits between 2004 and 2005 (that is, presurgery)was positive, indicating an increase in costs and visits prior to surgery.
