If you want a silhouette outline,expose the background properly. There is no need fora flash. Expose the subject properly if you are pursuinga“washiki”style.2.Use large aperture. A large aperture reducesthe depth of field, thus emphasizing the subject andde-emphasizing the background and foreground.3.Choose a background which is pervious to light. Shrubs,woods, or a sea of flowers are good choices. These willprobably give you a photo with multi-layers. If you shootwith a plain background, you will get a plain photo.4.Shoot more!
