Packaging Instructions to Return a Viscometer for Repair or Calibration❏ Remove and return all spindles (properly packedfor shipping).❏ Clean excess testing material off the instrument.❏ Include MSDS sheets for all materials tested withFthis instrument.IG❏ Support pointer shaft with white, nylon shippingUcap, as shown in Figure K1, or with white plasticRshipping cap originally supplied with instrument.E❏ Pack the instrument in its original case. Cases areavailable for immediate shipment from Brookfield.KIf the case is not available, take care to wrap the1instrument with enough material to support it.Avoid using foam peanuts or shredded paper.❏ DO NOT send the laboratory stand unless there isa problem with the upright rod, clamp or base. Ifthere is a problem with the stand, remove theupright rod from the base and individually wrapeach item to avoid contact with the instrument. Donot put lab stand in viscometer carrying case.F❏ Fill out a copy of the Viscometer Information SheetInsert CONE/I or Tissue Paper(on page 74) with as much information as possiblePLATEGto help expedite your service.
