SubstitutionexamplesWhich material canreplace the ZX-324?PEEKTargets: ZX-324 matches for98 % the PEEK material. Theproperties correspond to thoseof natural PEEK. Due to newprocessing characteristics andthe use of the most suitablesemi-finished materials (e.g.tubes), a large cost reductioncan be archived with the useof ZX-324.The ZX-324V1T or theZX-324V11T materials arerecommended to improve theyield stress and the resilience. To improve the PV-value, wesuggest the ZX-324V2T andZX-324V11T materials.ZX-324V1T und ZX-324V11Thave got a higher (30 °C)glass transition temperature. This permits to increase thecomponent stiffness over140 °C, without adding abrasivefibres. In addition can bearchieved a cost reduction. All the modified ZX-324 havegot a higher wear resistanceand PV-value than the naturalPEEK.Stress / Strain (ISO 527) Flexural E-Modulus (ISO 178)Stress [MPa]1601401201008060402000 2 4 6 8 10 12Strain [%]ZX-324V1TZX-324V2TZX-324V11TZX-324VMTZX-324 / PEEKZX-324V1T has got a high yield stress and elongation similarto the polyketone.
