Troubleshooting Alarm MessagesLCDDescription"Session xxxprogramerror" wherexxx is anumber from0 to 991AlarmLevelProbable CauseCause Code 8 - Excess glue frameevents – Glue frames preventmacroblocking. Excess glue frameevents indicate that the associatedoutput port is receiving too muchdata. When the MPEG engine in theGQAM nears full output capacity, itbegins to selectively choose videoPIDs on which it will issue a "freezeframe" code in the MPEG videostream for that program and willdrop the video packets for thatsession momentarily. This willhappen only for sessions in whichblue framing was enabled when thesessions was created. If this alarmoccurs frequently, it is a signal thatthe output QAM carrying thatsession contains to much dataMinor Cause Code 1 – A cyclicredundancy check (CRC) error wasdetected on a PMTCause Code 2 – A new programmap table (PMT) was detectedCause Code 3 – An attempt tocreate a session failedProgram Specific Information (PSI)Table data for the session containserrorsCheck and CorrectReallocate the session fromthe QAM that appears tocontain too much data toanother QAM on the sameGQAM modulator or toanother GQAM modulatorDelete the sessionThis is for information only.No action is requiredTeardown and rebuild thesession• Check the upstreamMPEG input sourcesconnected to the GQAM• Contact Cisco Services78-745431-01 Rev E 103
