Combiterms 2000Incoterms 2010Combiterms 2010 – Land transportIn the case of cross-border transport assignments DB Schenker makes use of of theCombiterms 2011 rules.Combiterms were first published in 1969 and with thisversion they have been updated four times. This takesplace each time in association with the correspondingrevision of Incoterms, which are the interpretation rulesfor the International Chamber of Commerce for the moreimportant delivery clauses in world trade.Combiterms, which do not compete with Incoterms, are anaid when translating the legal text Incoterms into a costdivision between seller and buyer.In a simple and easily understandable way Combitermsshows the costs which arise in conjunction with crossbordertransport. Examples of such costs are collection,storage, loading, unloading and distribution. Other examplesare customs, taxes and charges as well as the CIPinsurance costs clause.Particularly in conjunction with the transport of groupage,costs arise which could be difficult to divide betweenvendor and purchaser. Combiterms solve this by combiningthe terms of trade with an easily understandable systemfor dividing costs between the parties.
