That isa common theme when you look at pastrecipients, which include Gordon Moore,Wilf Corrigan, and Morris Chang. KathrynKranen has changed the industry not justKathryn Kranen has changed theEDA industry not once but twice.once, but twice over. She has led twostart-ups to success, and in each case shehas transformed an emerging technologyinto a mainstream one. She first succeededin doing that with Verisity Design Inc,an early verification automation company,and quickly grew it from being aninteresting idea to the primary verificationstrategy in use by top semiconductorcompanies.
