<strong>Radio</strong> today: the risks of the past and an uncertain futureidea of the criteria under which podcasting works, since none of them keeps a fixed formula foruploading and fragmenting those contents. The program grids of the websites are neither up to date.Perhaps this disorder may be due to the absence of a specific department in charge of these issuesbecause, up to now, in most cases, writers and announcers are in charge of uploading the audio files. It isworth mentioning in this section that both RNE and Punto <strong>Radio</strong> are the two stations with a betterorganization of their digital content on the Net. Podcasting, as it is conceived by the main radio stations of Spain, causes the message to lose many ofthe features radio has as distinguishing features from other media. The continuity of the messages, theproximity to the listeners and the freshness of live dialogue are lost; radio narrative is not anymoreperceived to follow an aural narrative based on the support of the audio rather than in the essence ofradio. <strong>Radio</strong> has not been rethought and still has not found in podcasting a new business model to makeexecutives work for innovation, investing in new radio formulas and generating contents that are not justcopies of the analogue ones uploaded to the Net.ReferencesBalsebre, Armand.
