Webegan expanding our market, with exportsstarting in the 70s. In the 80s webrought down the technological barrierand in the 90s, driven by the market’schallenges and opportunities, we beganconstructing a global company.The search for growth opportunities, strategiclocation, technology, professionalsor raw materials led us to different partsof the world. We have units in six countriesand sell to 80 countries. In today’s<strong>Embraco</strong>, there is much of Brazil, China,Italy, Slovakia, Mexico and the UnitedStates and of the different ways to seethe world in each one of these countries.We want to ensure that this cultural richnesshelps us build the <strong>Embraco</strong> of thefuture, and this goal is reflected in ourpeople management strategies.We are building a broad concept of diversitywhich aims to recreate in ouroffices and corridors the cultural diversitythat exists in the world. We wantto deepen the internationalization ofcareers. This means taking Chinese toBrazil, Brazilians to Italy, Italians to Slovakia... In this way, the global culture willbe much closer to our employees andwill help us understand the world’s othercultures and demands.We strive to create internally a diversework environment, which values anddevelops the different potentials, in astrategy that matures and consolidatesday-to-day in the company.
