Since joining <strong>Embraco</strong> in2000, he has built a solid career andhas invested in growth opportunities.He was Production Planner, QualityLeader and R&D Manager, and in <strong>2010</strong>became the first career professional ofa factory to take over the directorship.How does it feel being the first careerprofessional of a unit to take on thedirectorship of a factory in <strong>Embraco</strong>?<strong>Embraco</strong> is a global company that offersopportunities to all employees,no matter the nationality. We havemany examples of this. We have anItalian colleague leading logisticsprocesses and the <strong>Embraco</strong> Mexicoproject counts on the participation ofpeople from other plants.It is a great honor for me and at thesame time I feel an immense responsibilityto manage a unit with morethan 2,000 employees. I am very happywith this opportunity and I will givemy best to meet expectations. I counton a very strong management team.We’re going to support each other andcontinue to grow as a team.What are the main challenges in yourposition?The main challenge is dealing withpeople of different languages and cultures.About this it is great that <strong>Embraco</strong>is implementing a rotation systemamong the plants. For example:today our R&D Manager, in Spisska, isBrazilian. Last year we had a logisticscolleague who was from the UnitedStates. I had the opportunity to workfor six months in Brazil, understandingthe culture, people, processes, andlearning the language.A strong point of <strong>Embraco</strong> is the investmentin people’s potential. Thereis always someone who can help contribute,and everyone has the opportunityto develop and to grow.What are your main goals?The main objectives for <strong>Embraco</strong> Slovakiain the coming years are to completeour vision of being a model companyin all aspects of the business inwhich we operate. We need to delivervalues to all stakeholders, produceproducts of impeccable quality, improvethe level of our services to consumersand continue to develop thecompetencies of our internal public.We will continue to grow our cooperationwith the community in the fieldof sustainability and corporate socialresponsibility.
