These initiatives are externally funded and negotiations with theassociated proponents are in the process of being finalised.WaterExpensesOperational Expenditure SavingsThe Department’s operating expenditure has been revised down by $5.1 million overthree <strong>year</strong>s, commencing in <strong>2012</strong>-<strong>13</strong>, due to the implementation of operationalefficiencies, which are to fund increased groundwater investigations in the AssetInvestment Program.Asset InvestmentIncreased Groundwater InvestigationAn additional $5.1 million will be spent over three <strong>year</strong>s, commencing in <strong>2012</strong>-<strong>13</strong>,for groundwater investigations, funded from the operational expenditure savings notedabove.Bunbury Water BoardAsset InvestmentWater Quality CentreAn additional $1.9 million will be spent over <strong>2012</strong>-<strong>13</strong> and 20<strong>13</strong>-14 to construct a WaterQuality Centre and Storage Facility and ongoing maintenance of the Board’s reservoirsand mains replacement program.122
