Power OnThis switch is used to turn on the power supplieswithin the P-C.Power OffThis switch is used to turn off the power supplieswithin the P-C.Power OnThis light is used to indicate that the P-C powersupplies are operative.Lamp TestThis switch is pressed to apply lamp voltage to allconsole lamps. Its purpose is to verify operation ofall console lamps.WaitThis light is used to indicate that the P-C is in loador display mode, has been halted by a wait instruction,or has been halted by the operator pushingSTOP or IMMED STOP.RunThis light is used to indicate that the P-C is operatingunder program control.AlarmThis light is used to indicate that the operationsmonitor has timed out. The customer may installan audible alarm to operate in conjunction with thealarm light. See "Operations Monitor" section.Emergency Pull SwitchThis pull switch is for emergency use only. If it ispulled out, all electrical power within the 1801/1802is turned off, including power to the blowers thatcool the electronic circuitry. Turning the blowersoff in this manner may damage some of the circuitry. This switch must be reset by a customer engineer.Console InterruptThis switch (CONSOLE INTR) enables the operator tointerrupt P-C operation. The console interrupt levelis assigned by the customer. The program toggleswitches may be used in conjunction with consoleinterrupt to specify the console interrupt routine. However, this relationship between the programswitches and console interrupt exists only by virtueof the program. There is no internal relationshipbetween the two.Load IThis switch is used with the mode switch in the loadposition to transfer the contents of the data entrytoggle switches to the I-register. The P-C is in thestopped condition when it terminates the load Ioperation.ResetThis switch is used to reset all basic timing, controls, registers (except index registers and addressregisters), and I/O devices. The interrupt maskregister is reset with all bits on. The digital inputand digital-analog output registers are not reset. The reset switch is effective only when the P-C isnot in a run state, as indicated by the run light beingoff.Immediate StopThis switch (IMMED STOP) stops the P-C at the endof the core storage cycle in operation when the switchcontacts close. All basic timing, controls, registers (exceptindex registers and address registers), and I/O devicesare reset. IMMED STOP can also be used tostop data channel (cycle stealing) operations thatare no longer under program control.StartIf the ready light is on, this switch initiates P-Coperations, as specified by the mode switch.Processor-Controller Console 83
