DSA helps to streamline OSinstallation and reduce the attended time needed to install supportedoperating systems on a server. Each Dell PowerEdge server is sold witha copy of the Dell OpenManage Server Assistant CD that will operate onthat server. If attempting to use DSA on additional PowerEdge servers, carefully check the CD label for the list of supported servers. The following steps start the installation of an OS through theDRAC 4 using the Dell OpenManage Server Assistant CD. Note:The list of operating systems supported for installation on an individualserver is based on the model of the server. Operating systemsthat can be installed using virtual media include MicrosoftWindows 2000 Server with Service Pack 4 (SP4), MicrosoftWindows Server 2003, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1, and Red HatEnterprise Linux 3.
