NOTIFYING FAMILY MEMBERSA member of the Executive Committee should be informed prior to contacting family membersof a student or employee injury or illness.In the case of an injury or illness, in most cases, the student or employee can indicate whoshould be notified. In cases where a student cannot provide that information, the academic filein the Registrar’s Office contains emergency contact information. The Human ResourceDepartment can provide emergency contact information for faculty and staff.In the event of a serious or life threatening injury, illness, or death to a student, the Director ofStudent Services should be contacted immediately to assist with notifying the family. Notificationregarding a student should be done by the Director of Student Services and Vice President ofAcademic Affairs. Notification regarding an employee should be done by the President and theHuman Resources Manager.12
