Appendix 4 68ITEM NO. 96/2009To consider the resolutions passed on 10.10.2009 about constitution <strong>of</strong> variousCommittees at the meeting at National Law University <strong>of</strong> Delhi in the presence<strong>of</strong> Shri S.N.P. Sinha, Chairman and Mr. Ashok Parija, Member <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Bar</strong><strong>Council</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>India</strong>.<strong>The</strong> <strong>Bar</strong> <strong>Council</strong> considered the Resolutions passed on 10.10.2009 aboutformation <strong>of</strong> National Legal Knowledge Committee. <strong>The</strong> Learned SolicitorGeneral suggested 36 names to be in the National Legal KnowledgeCommittee. It was suggested that all the Member <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Bar</strong> <strong>Council</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>India</strong>should be in the Committee. After discussion the following Resolution waspassed.RESOLUTION:RESOLVED that the National Legal Knowledge Committee beformed with the members suggested by the Solicitor General andIT WAS ALSO RESOLVED that all the Members <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Bar</strong><strong>Council</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>India</strong> would be Members <strong>of</strong> the said Committee.IT WAS ALSO RESOLVED that the said National legalKnowledge Committee will be the Advisory Committee to the<strong>Bar</strong> <strong>Council</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>India</strong>. (A list <strong>of</strong> the members <strong>of</strong> the committee isenclosed.)Consideration <strong>of</strong> Resolutions 2 to 4 passed by the Search Committee on10.10.2009 is deferred to the next meeting <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Council</strong>.ITEM NO.97/ 2009To consider the report submitted by the 3 Member Committee to the Hon’bleSupreme Court in the matter <strong>of</strong> Bonnie Foi Law College.<strong>The</strong> <strong>Bar</strong> <strong>Council</strong> considered the report <strong>of</strong> the 3 Member Committee submittedto the Hon‘ble Supreme Court <strong>of</strong> <strong>India</strong>. While considering the Report <strong>of</strong> the3-Member Committee, Mr. Justice A.P. Misra suggested that Legal AidCentres should be created in all Law colleges.
