10. . . . .CHAPTER 2: BANKING MODULECreate CFA BankCreate CFA BankUse this command to begin creating a custom Bank file to be used intransmitting and receiving check and payee information to and from yourbank.You can access this command the following ways:• Click Modules, point to Banking and click Create CFA Bank• Click from the Banking toolbarThis is the fastest and easiest way to create a new CFA Bank file. Afterstarting the Wizard, you will be guided through 9 screens to complete theprocess.Before you BeginObtain the following information from your company and the Banks withwhich you do business before attempting to create a new CFA Bank:• Bank name and Intransit Number(s)• Account Numbers• Primary and Secondary phone numbers for you and your bank• Modem and port settings, such as emulation and transfer protocol• File names or a file naming standard• Format information; file headers, Onus Pre and Post, Bank Void and Stoplines, Trailers and Bank lines• Void character(s)Tips• The explanation of this and following fields is based on the Wizard viewwhich differs from the Edit Mode visible through the Edit CFA Bankscommand.• Bank protocols vary, so use the Wizard to create a template that works.Then copy the template and rename it to allow for multiple applications,account numbers and banks. CHAPTER 2: BANKING MODULECreate CFA Bank. . . . .11Edit ModeIt is important to note that when an existing bank file is placed in theEdit mode, the interface will be different than the Bank Wizard. TheEdit Mode uses a tabbed format to navigate through each screen asshow below.Each page of the Bank Wizard, except for the first and last, willappear as a Tab in Edit mode. The information for a bank will matchwhat was entered in the Bank Wizard process. When the Edit mode isaccessed, click Open and choose an existing Bank File from theSelect a Bank dialog box. Make changes to existing information asnecessary, such as account information, phone numbers and modemsettings, scripts, formats, and void characters.
