26. . . . .CHAPTER 2: BANKING MODULECreate CFA BankFormat Layout screen (Formats tab)The CFA Format Layout screen (Formats tab) is the fifth screen in the CFABank Wizard or the forth tab in Edit Mode. Use this view to define the formatof the line items in a bank's Payment File. Banks differ on formats, so contactyour bank to determine what information must be included in the Format ofthe Payment file. When the Format Layout screen opens, the Formats will belisted in the Select a Format field box.This screen allows for bank file formatting for single or multiple accounts tobe sent to the receiving bank. This flexibility allows for any field definition inany format line along with an unlimited number of header and trailer lines.Access this screen the following ways:• Click Modules point to Banking and click Create CFA Bank. On the CFABank Wizard screen, complete the first seven screens as needed and clickNext.• Click Modules point to Banking and click Edit CFA Bank. Click theFormats tab.• Click from the Banking toolbar. In the CFA Bank Wizard screen,complete the first seven screens as needed and click Next.• Click from the Banking toolbar. Click the Formats tab.26 CFA & ACH Reference Manual

Ifno accounts are listed, select the Account Info tab (edit mode) or click Backto locate the Account Information screen and type accounts.2 (If needed) Click the Add Header or Add Trailer (these are user definedformats depending on whether the receiving bank requires additionalformats in the beginning or end of a transmission).3 Scroll and select the number of decimals to appear in the amount fields.Selectable entries are 2 through 6.4 Scroll through the Select a Format section and click Append to define yourformat using the drop down menu in the newly created FIELD row.CFA & ACH Reference Manual 27
