F.L.O.W.The Friends <strong>of</strong> the Library <strong>of</strong> <strong>Windham</strong>, also known as F.L.O.W., is a non-pr<strong>of</strong>it organization made up<strong>of</strong> volunteers dedicated to encouraging greater use <strong>of</strong> the Nesmith Library and its many services andprograms. The Friends provide financial support to the library through fundraising efforts (the largest is<strong>Windham</strong>’s Annual Strawberry Festival and Book Fair) and generous donations. The financial supporthelps to pursue opportunities and acquisitions beyond the scope <strong>of</strong> the library’s budget.The Friends enhance the library and our community by <strong>of</strong>fering a wide spectrum <strong>of</strong> educational andcultural programs at the Nesmith Library. Each year, the Friends activities and programs touchhundreds <strong>of</strong> <strong>Windham</strong> children and their families. The Friends <strong>of</strong>fer children’s programs, sponsormuseum passes, host special library events, and donate much needed library materials and equipment. Inaddition, the Friends award scholarships to two graduating high school seniors every spring.Membership to the Friends is open to everyone.
