In this tannery complex, theraw materials or skin and hides are processed to shoe, upper, lining, bag, belt andupholstery leathers.9.3.2 EnvironmentCompany B has been continuing its activities since 1974 Caybası district inTorbalı town is an organization dealing with the production of lining, stout leatherand upper for shoe industry. After the establishment of refinery in 1989, it is tillthen continuing activities and also a Discharge Permission Document has takenfrom the public organizations.Employee from the Directorate of Province of Environment controlpermanently obedience to discharge rules. Also there is a Group B EmissionPermission Document given for convenience for the quality of air and a FirstClass Opening License for Unhealthy Enterprises which is given for conveniencefor the health of public and environment.VOC filtered chimneys suitable for ecology in finish machines for preventingthe dust which has come to existence because of leather sandpapering and theequipments for the obstruction of the dust in sandpapering units are the otherindications of Company B’s sensitivity to the environment.
