IntroductionThis QPDM Applications Handbook is the third in a series of documents describing the Am95C60Quad Pixel Data Manager (QPDM) device and its use in graphics systems.The first, most basic document is the QPDM data sheet (Order Number 07013B) which gives a tersefunctional description plus a very detailed listing of the electrical and timing parameters, as well aspackage, pin-out, and ordering information. This data sheet will be updated for any parametricchanges, e.g. speed enhancements, made as the device matures.The second document is the QPDM Technical Manual (Order Number 07785B). It provides a morecomplete functional description and explains each of the 61 instructions in detail.The third document, this QPDM Applications Handbook, describes a wide variety of interfaces to theQPDM. The System Bus is covered in Chapters 2 and 5, the Display Memory Bus is covered inChapters 3 and 5, the Memory Bus in Chapters 4 and 5.Chapter 6 contains some programming hints and a complete initialization program.
