Dynamic fingeringadds even more feeling to what you play.This setting produces the heaviest keyboardtouch.Making Fine Adjustments to the KeyboardTouch Sensitivity (Key Touch Offset)This lets you make further detailed adjustments to the keyboardsensitivity as appropriate for the strength of your fingers.Setting-10–0–9Tuning Settings (Tuning)ExplanationHigher settings will produce a heavier playingfeel.Matching the Pitch with Other Instruments(Master Tuning)When playing ensemble with other instruments and in other suchinstances, you can match the standard pitch to another instrument.The standard pitch generally refers to the pitch of the note that’splayed when you finger the middle A key. For a cleaner ensemblesound while performing with one or more other instruments, ensurethat each instrument’s standard pitch is in tune with that of the otherinstruments. This tuning of all the instruments to a standard pitch iscalled “master tuning.”Adjusting the Tuning (Temperament)You can play classical music such as baroque pieces using their originaltuning.Most modern songs are composed and played with the assumptionthat equal temperament (the most common tuning in use today) willbe used, but when classical music was composed, there were a widevariety of other tuning systems in existence.Playing a composition with its original tuning lets you enjoy thesonorities of the chords that the composer originally intended.SettingEqualJust MajorJust MinorArabicKirnbergerMeantonePythagoreanWerckmeisterExplanationIn this tuning, each octave is divided into twelveequal steps. Every interval produces about thesame amount of slight dissonance.This tuning eliminates ambiguities in the fifthsand thirds. It is unsuited to playing melodiesand cannot be transposed, but is capable ofbeautiful sonorities.The Just tunings differ from major and minorkeys. You can get the same effect with the minorscale as with the major scale.This tuning is suitable for the music of Arabia.This is an improvement of the Meantone andJust tunings that provides a high degree offreedom of modulation. Performances arepossible in all keys (III).This scale makes some compromises in justintonation, enabling transposition to other keys.This tuning, devised by the philosopher Pythagoras,eliminates dissonance in fourths andfifths. Dissonance is produced by third-intervalchords, but melodies are euphonious.This temperament combines the Meantone andPythagorean tunings.
