For details, refer to “Formatting Memory (Format Media)”(p. 78).* CDs that contain both music tracks and data will not play correctly.SMF Music FilesSMFs (Standard MIDI Files) use a standard format for music filethat was formulated so that files containing music file couldbe widely compatible, regardless of the manufacturer of thelistening device. An enormous variety of music is available,whether it be for listening, for practicing musical instruments,for Karaoke, etc.VIMA TUNESVIMA TUNES is a Roland specification for music files thatcontains image and lyric data, allowing you to enjoy songs withlyrics and images simultaneously. When data bearing the “VIMATUNES” logo is played back on a device that bears the samelogo, lyrics can be shown on the screen of a connected externaldisplay or television, letting you enjoy karaoke or watch a slideshow.* This instrument (FP-7F) is not able to play back VIMA TUNESimages.For details on installation and connections, refer to the owner’s manualof your CD drive.* Use a CD drive sold by Roland. We cannot guarantee operation if anyother CD drive is used.* You cannot play back CD-R/RW disks to which audio tracks havebeen added or CDs containing both audio tracks and data (CDExtra).* The FP-7F is capable of playing back only commercial CDs thatconform the official standards-those that carry the “COMPACT DISCDIGITAL AUDIO” logo.* The usability and sound quality of audio discs that incorporatecopyright protection technology and other non-standard CDscannot be guaranteed.* For more detailed information on audio discs featuring copyrightprotection technology and other non-standard CDs, please consultthe disc vendor.* You cannot save songs and styles to CDs, and you cannot deletesongs or styles recorded to CDs.
