INSTALLATION7.1 The geo-textile bags shall be filled by using proper sized filling hoppers with appropriatestone as re<strong>com</strong>mended by manufacturer.7.2 While picking up fabric weights for transportation, it shall be ensured that all hooks anddevises are free of large, sharp defects that may damage the lift straps. Only suitable devicesor bag type slings shall be used during lifting.7.3 Trailers with rails or strapping to secure the load shall be used for transportation to site.The bags shall not be stacked7 .4 Weights are to be kept in upright and leaning in supported position in ROU for easyaccesses to the lifting loops.7.5 Extra trench width and depth shall be excavated to ac<strong>com</strong>modate the Geo— textilebags. DOCUMENTATIONFollowing documents shall be submitted for review before installation of geo-textile bags8.1 All necessary calculations to demonstrate the suitability of proposed geo-textile bags forpipeline anti-buoyancy measures under the specified design conditions, the manufacturer shallprovide an undertaking that the proposed geo-textile bags are suitable for 18" 3 layerpolyethylene coated line pipe. Three layers PE coating shall be 2.2 mm thick.8.2 All details of proposed geo-textile bags (such as dimensions, material used etc.) shall befurnished.
