ELECTRODES, FILLER WIRES AND FLUXESStorage and handling procedures for consumables shall be submitted to the OWNER for reviewand approval. The CONTRACTOR shall maintain a system of traceability, whereby the batchno. of the welding consumables are related to weld numbers on which they are used.Each tin or packet of electrodes or reel of filler wire and bag of flux shall be clearly marked withtheir respective batch number. Manufacturer's Certification shall be supplied to EN 10204, 3.1for each batch of welding consumables in accordance with ANSI/AWS 5.01.Welding consumables used during production shall be of the same manufacturer, brand andAWS type as those used during welding procedure qualifications.The CONTRACTOR shall submit batch test certificate(s) from each electrode/filler wiremanufacturer(s) furnishing all details of physical and chemical tests carried out by them foreach batch of electrodes to be used.All electrodes/filler wire/flux shall be purchased in sealed containers and stored properly toprevent deterioration. Except the cellulosic coated electrodes, the electrodes removed from thecontainer shall be kept in holding ovens at temperatures re<strong>com</strong>mended by electrodemanufacturer. Oven shall be used for low hydrogen electrodes only. Welding consumablesshall be handled with care to avoid any damage to the flux covering.
