PageEPMC SERVICES FOR REWARI – KANPUR PIPELINE PROJECTBASIS OF DESIGN (PIPELINE)Welding shall be carried out as per API 1104. All welds shall be 100% radiographed. After theinstallation is <strong>com</strong>pleted, the entire pipeline shall be hydrostatically tested. The hydrostatic testpressure at any test section shall be 1.25 times of the design pressure. The maximum hydrostatic testpressure at any location in the pipeline during testing shall not exceed the pressure required toproduce hoop stress equal to 90 % of SMYS of pipe material. The test duration shall be 24 hours forpipeline. Terminals / Station facilities shall also be tested at 1.25 times of the design pressure. Thetest duration shall be minimum 4 hours.5.7 Design LifeThe design life of the onshore pipeline is 35 years.5.8 Design ConditionsThe pipelines shall be designed in accordance with ASME B31.4 and additional requirements as perOISD 141 taking into account the pressures, temperatures, and various forces applicable to thepipeline systems.5.8.1 Design PressureThe internal design pressure of the pipelines will be based on the pressure as determined from thehydraulic profile for various sections of the pipeline systems.
