At the major crossings and terminals higher wallthickness shall be used.• PIPELINE FITTINGS, FLANGES AND VALVESAll pipeline materials, such as valves, flanges and fittings etc. shall be in accordance withASME class 600 as per P&ID. All mainline valves shall have butt welded ends.• BARRED TEESAll branch connections of size more than 40% main line diameter on the main line shall beprovided with barred tees to allow smooth passage of pigs. Barred tees shall be designed asper ASME B 31.4. The material of barred tee shall be compatible with line pipe material.• INSULATING JOINTInsulating joint shall be provided at transition point of aboveground and underground sectionof pipeline for electrical isolation. Insulating joints shall be of mono-block type.• SECTIONALIZING VALVE / STATION ISOLATION VALVESSectionalizing Valves and Station isolation valves shall be motor operated valves (MOV). Allsectionalizing valves and station isolation valves shall have provision for remote operation.Sectionalizing valves shall be buried and provided with stem extension. Mainline valves shallbe full bore type ball valves, to allow smooth passage of pigs through them. These valvesshall conform to API-6D.• PIG TRAPSScraper Traps (Launcher/ Receiver) shall be provided at the dispatch terminal, receiptterminal and intermediate pigging stations for facilitating pigging. Pig Traps shall be designedas per ASME B 31.4. The material of pig traps shall be compatible with line pipe material. ThePig traps shall be capable of handling intelligent pigging.
