The structure of the statement of cash flows as attachment<br />
is consistent with the German Accounting Standard No. 2<br />
(<strong>Deutsche</strong>r Rechnungslegungsstandard Nr. 2; DRS 2) developed<br />
by the German Accounting Standards Board (<strong>Deutsche</strong>r<br />
Standard isie rungsrat) of the German Accounting Standards<br />
Committee (<strong>Deutsche</strong>s Rechnungslegungs Standards Committee<br />
e.V.; DRSC).<br />
The statement of cash flows shows a breakdown of cash<br />
flows by operating activities, investing activities and financing<br />
activities. Cash flow before taxes is shown in cash flow from<br />
operating activities.<br />

Cash and cash equivalents comprise the cash and cash equivalents<br />
shown in the balance sheet (cash in hand, cash at banks and<br />

The number of employees within DB Group is calculated on the<br />
basis of fulltime employee (FTE) positions to permit better<br />
comparability. Temporary employees are accordingly converted<br />
into fulltime employees in proportion to the extent to which<br />
their working hours are related to the standard annual working<br />
hours agreed under collective bargaining. The civil servants<br />
employed at DB <strong>AG</strong> have generally been assigned to DB <strong>AG</strong> with<br />
the entry of the company in accordance with Art. 2 Section 12 of<br />
the ENeuOG (“assigned civil servants”). They work for DB <strong>AG</strong>,<br />
their employer is the BEV.<br />
