Thebooks of Islamic scholars, the leaders of madhhabs, which hadbeen based on the Qur’ân and the Hadîth, were to beabandoned and the philosopher Qutb’s ideas were to be put intheir place!He wrote again in his book World’s Peace and Islam:“According to Islam, all human beings are a family boundwith close bonds to one another. It commands a certain justiceover all human beings without discriminating them with regardto race or religion.”Rasûlullah (sall-Allâhu ’alaihi wa sallam) declared in a hadîthsherîf quoted by al-Ghazâlî in his book Kimyâ’ as-sa’âda, “Thebasis and the most dependable symptom of having îmân isto love Muslims and to dislike unbelievers.” Allâhu ta’âlâdeclared to Hadrat ’Îsâ (’alaihi ’s-salâm) (Jesus), “If youperform the worship of all the creatures on the earth and inskies, it will be no use unless you love those whom I loveand be hostile against Mine enemies.” He declared in the lastâyat of the sûrat al-Mujâdala, “Those who believe in Allâhuta’âlâ and in the Day of Resurrection hate the enemies ofAllâhu ta’âlâ.” Allâhu ta’âlâ and His Prophet (’alaihi ’s-salâm)commanded us to distinguish Muslims from unbelievers. Tothem, only Muslims are brothers, but Sayyid Qutb wrote that allpeople were brothers forming a family without the difference ofreligion.50 - Again, in the same book, he wrote:“Islam rejects a religious bigotry that bears the meaning ofhatred against other religions.”He disgraced it with bigotry to dislike unbelievers. HadratMuhammad Ma’thûm wrote in the twenty-ninth letter of hisMaktûbât, “It has been clearly commanded in the Qur’ân todislike unbelievers, to be hostile against them by heart, to treatthe people of dâr al-harb severely and to fight with them. Thereis no place for doubt in this. It is fard for us to adapt ourselves tothe Qur’ân.” We should do justice to dhimmîs, the unbelievers ina Muslim country, and we should not hurt them. Sayyid Qutbregarded the unbelievers in dâr al-harb like those in a Muslimcountry.He wrote again in the same book:- 197 -
