it is useless to say, “Why has He created the men whom He willtorture in the next world?” Man, whose birth and death are notin his own power, has no right to speak ill of Allâhu ta’âlâ’s lawspertaining to this world and the next. He can attain happinessonly by following these laws. Some ignorant people who have believed in the lies ofcommunists and freemasons say, “What is religion on earth?Who has seen Paradise and Hell? Such words are the stories ofearly people and bigots; they are false.” If they understoodscientific knowledge and Islamic history by learning them fromconscientious teachers and if they saw that scientificimprovements and new inventions strengthen and prove Islamicbeliefs they would cling to Islam tightly, or at least be respectful, decent towards it. If they learned Muhammad’s life (’alaihi ’ssalâm)from books written correctly, they would fall in love withhis intellect, beautiful habits and accomplishments. The eventsshowing that hundreds of thousands of people have beenattached to him very sincerely, their manners, obedience andexcessive love towards him, and that they would sacrifice theirpossessions and lives for his sake, fill thousands of pages ofhistory all over the world. Thereis no need for another miracle or witness. To deny the words ofthis exalted Prophet (’alaihi ’s-salâm) means to deny history andevents. He who knows but does not believe him is a slave to hisnafs, to his sensual desires, or an eccentric person who doesnot wish goodness, working, progress, mutual love, socialjustice, and who does not think of his and all people’shappiness, or an utterly ignorant person who knows nothingabout science and history. Every reasonable and just man wholearns the beautiful life of Rasûlullah (’alaihi ’s-salâm) and thesubtleties and uses in the commands and prohibitions of Islamicfaith should believe him at once, like him and become a Muslim- 67 -
