It is not something to beslighted that he gives such a meaning to these letters and isreluctant to write what Abû Bakr, ’Umar (radiy-Allâhu ’anhumâ)and the scholars of tafsîr said. This also betrays his crassignorance of the mysteries in the Qur’ân and the Divine Ma’ârifwhich have been inspirations for the great men of tasawwuf.4) “Scholars of tafsîr and tawhîd explained detailedly whichone, the earth or the sky, had been created earlier. But theyshould have known the fact that being earlier and later arehuman terms. It should not be forgotten, again, that such termshave been used so that the infinite descriptions becomprehended by the limited human mind.
