Each fall, these sweetcakes, filled with thick lotus paste, take on a prizedrole as gifts given during the Mid-Autumn Festival,their round shape symbolizing unity, as friends andfamily come together in celebration.The mooncake’s distinctive flavor and rich texturemake it a natural complement to the fragrantcomplexity of a steaming cup of tea. So it was onlyfitting when in 2009, Singapore-based fine tea purveyorTWG Tea put a refined spin on the traditionaldelicacy, unveiling a collection of meticulously handcraftedtea-infused mooncakes that pair perfectlywith the brand’s aromatic blends.
