Our instructors and classes inspire<br />

technique. Let us share our passion for<br />

dance with your child. Dancers gain<br />

coordination and confidence, make<br />

Dance Class Attire<br />

• Adult & Tot: athletic attire<br />

• Ballet, Creative Movement &<br />

Storybook Ballet: leotard, tights &<br />

ballet shoes.<br />

• Ballet/Jazz: leotard or jazz shorts/<br />

pants, tights, ballet shoes & jazz<br />

shoes<br />

• Ballet/Pointe: leotard, tights,<br />

technique shoes and pointe shoes<br />

• Hip Hop/Jazz: athletic attire, gym<br />

shoes and jazz shoes/sneakers<br />

• Modern/Contemporary: leotard,<br />

footless tights<br />

• Pre Ballet/Tap & Dancin’: leotard,<br />

tights, ballet shoes & tap shoes<br />

Adult & Tot<br />

This class takes both the adult and<br />

child on a creative journey through<br />

movement exploration, creating a bond<br />

and awareness of each other. This<br />

class helps improve motor skills, build<br />

muscle strength, improve coordination<br />

and balance, develop rhythm,<br />

musicality, creativity, and cognitive<br />

development. Most important is that<br />

you and your child will get to dance<br />

and have fun together!<br />

Ballet/Pointe<br />

This ballet class is for the experienced<br />

student. At least one year of ballet<br />

is required. Instruction will include<br />

barre, center and beginning pointe<br />

work. This class also offers performing<br />

opportunities.<br />

Ballet/Jazz<br />

This class focuses on core dance<br />

concepts to teach creativity,<br />

vocabulary, and basic dance technique.<br />

Children will be taught core dance<br />

concepts. Children will learn the<br />

foundational movements in ballet<br />

and jazz dance technique and how<br />

to recognize and demonstrate these<br />

movements, as well as combine them<br />

to form a dance. This class helps<br />

improve motor skills, build muscle<br />

strength, improve coordination and<br />

balance, develop rhythm, musicality,<br />

creativity, and cognitive development.<br />

Creative Movement<br />

Young children begin to learn the<br />

disciplines of dance through a<br />

playful approach. We include warm<br />

up, mime, rhythm and fine motor<br />

exercises, simple ballet vocabulary, and<br />

development of large motor skills.<br />

Dancin’<br />

Dancers will learn basic ballet<br />

technique, tap steps such as shuffle and<br />

flap, and explore different Jazz styles<br />

all while developing coordination,<br />

flexibility and musicality.<br />

Hip Hop/Jazz<br />

Students will learn the foundational<br />

technique for jazz and hip-hop dance,<br />

vocabulary, history, and the dance<br />

pioneers in the forms. Core dance<br />

concepts will be covered, including<br />

space, time, force, body, movement,<br />

and form, and how to learn and<br />

develop choreography for a dance<br />

performance. Students will learn to<br />

solve problems, express feelings,<br />

cooperate, accept and value individual<br />

differences, and engage in an activity to<br />

increase self-esteem.<br />

Modern/Contemporary<br />

Students will learn the foundational<br />

technique for modern and<br />

contemporary dance, vocabulary,<br />

history, and explore the different styles<br />

of the dance pioneers in the form.<br />

Core dance concepts will be covered,<br />

including: space, size, level, direction,<br />

rhythm and balance. Students will learn<br />

and develop choreography for a dance<br />

performance. They will learn to solve<br />

problems, express feelings, cooperate,<br />

accept and value individual differences,<br />

and engage in an activity to increase<br />

self-esteem.<br />

Pre-Ballet/Tap<br />

Dancers develop strength, flexibility and<br />

musicality while learning basic ballet<br />

technique in a traditional ballet class<br />

setting. The first part of class is devoted<br />

to learning the basic tap elements.<br />

Beginning steps include shuffle, flap,<br />

paradiddle and many others.<br />

Storybook Ballet<br />

Using basic ballet technique, classical<br />

music and Disney favorites, children<br />

will help create a ballet about their<br />

favorite stories.<br />

Tiny Toes<br />

For our littlest dancers who have not<br />

been away from mom yet, we cover<br />

basic ballet and creative movements<br />

set to fun music. We do not teach a<br />

choreographed recital piece, although<br />

the class is invited to be on stage for<br />

the recital and perform a follow-along<br />

dance with their instructor. Children<br />

must be able to attend class without a<br />

parent.<br />
