Block Party Wagon<br />
Looking for a fun addition to your next<br />
block party?<br />
In cooperation with the Village of Glen Ellyn, the park district<br />
is offering free use of the Block Party Wagon, April 1 through<br />
October 31, weekends only. The wagon will contain everything<br />
you will need at your block party including:<br />
• 10ft x 10ft Tent<br />
• Ten 8-foot Tables<br />
• Bean Bag Toss Game<br />
• 100 Chairs<br />
• Large Outdoor Grill<br />
• Ladder Ball<br />
The park district will drop off the wagon on Friday afternoon and pick it up n Monday. For information and<br />
reservations, please call Jeannie at the park district at 630-942-7267. Reservations are taken on a first come, first<br />
served basis. A waitlist is available; please call for more information, or check the park district website at www.<br />

National Dog Day Celebration<br />
Today is a day to appreciate our best furry friends! We will<br />
pass out a special treat to all dog park members who visit<br />
the dog park on Sunday, August 25. You must display your<br />
membership pass.<br />

Dog Park Swipe Card Entry System<br />
In an effort to increase service, safety and security to Dog<br />
Park members, a swipe card entry system has been installed.<br />
All members must have a swipe card to enter the park. The<br />
system will also increase the park district’s ability to monitor<br />
dog park visitors.<br />
Residents are charged $30 per dog. The nonresident fee is<br />
$75 for the first dog and $50 for the second. Fees are not prorated.<br />
Both residents and nonresidents are limited to two dogs<br />
each. Passes are now good for one year from date of issue.<br />
A permit is required for each dog visiting the dog park. To<br />
receive a permit, a dog owner must provide:<br />
1. Proof of Residency. Acceptable forms include a current<br />
driver’s license, tax statement or a utility bill.<br />
2. Copy of rabies vaccination.<br />
3. Completed Permit Application. Applications are available<br />
at Spring Avenue Recreation Center and at www.gepark.<br />
org.<br />
4. Completed Waiver. Waivers are available at Spring<br />
Avenue Recreation Center and at www.gepark.org.<br />
5. Payment in Full. Acceptable forms include cash, check,<br />
Visa, MasterCard and Discover.<br />
Permit must be visible at all times when visiting the dog<br />
park. Permits are issued only at Spring Avenue Recreation<br />
Center.<br />
Do not let someone else use your dog park pass. Your pass<br />
will be confiscated by the park district if it is used illegally for a<br />
dog that is not registered with the Glen Ellyn Park District.
