Should Know
Welcome Sean Nelson and Anne Bennett to the staff of
Glen Ellyn Park District
Sean will be managing Ackerman Sports & Fitness Center and
holds a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Marketing
and Public Relations from Louisiana State University. For
the past 14 years, he has worked at YMCAs in DuPage and
McHenry counties, including B.R. Ryall in Glen Ellyn. His most
recent position was with the Sage YMCA in Crystal Lake as
Executive Director, where he managed more than 100 full
and part-time staff while coordinating a $19 million capital
campaign to build a new facility.

Assisting Sean at ASFC, and overseeing Sunset Pool in the
summer, is Anne Bennett as our new Aquatic & Fitness
Facility Supervisor. A lifelong Glen Ellyn resident, Bennett has
a degree in Recreation and Park Administration from Illinois
State University. She has held supervisory positions in aquatics
and facilities at Barlett, Itasca and Roselle park districts.
