Treasurer/Collector<br />

Tax bills were due December 12, 2011, and the department continued to receive payments in<br />

January. The collection rate is at 97.5% with a dollar figure <strong>of</strong> $12,663,155.17 for the first<br />

half tax bills. Water bills were sent out in January as well.<br />

Information Technology Services<br />

The department continued to assist the <strong>Town</strong> Clerk’s <strong>of</strong>fice with the training sessions on the<br />

Public Education<br />

35 <strong>Chatham</strong> High School Students received training in CPR and the use <strong>of</strong> an AED<br />

from the department’s firefighters. 12 <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Chatham</strong> employees received training<br />

in CPR and the use <strong>of</strong> an AED. 5 Girl Scouts also received training in CPR and the use<br />

<strong>of</strong> an AED from the firefighters.<br />

<strong>Chatham</strong> Elementary School students in grades K – 4 received 18 hours <strong>of</strong> fire safety<br />

instructions from the department’s Public Education Officer.<br />

Training<br />

The department received a total <strong>of</strong> 300 hours <strong>of</strong> training in the month <strong>of</strong> January.<br />
