Intra Spikelet Competition for Seed Size
Three varieties viz., HR 911, PR 202 and
GPU 28 were studied for intra spikelet competition
for seed size. The seeds from six florets of three
different positions of spikelet were kept separately
in 6 different bowls. Thousand grain weights of
separately collected floret wise seeds of three
different portions weighed (Table 4) and analysis of
variance found non significant for seed weight
between the florets of all the three varieties studied
(Table 5). The results which indicated that there was
