2. Achieved a class standing of at least a junior (sophomore standing for the clerk) for
the year in which he/she is to serve.
3. No student judge, or clerk, can be an active member of the Student Affairs Council
or a member of the Resident Assistant staff.
The following reasons are grounds for immediate removal by the Council (UJC) of one
of its members:
1. Dismissal from the University
2. Academic or disciplinary probation
3. Failure to perform Council (UJC) responsibilities as determined by a majority of
the Council.
A member who wishes to resign from the UJC will submit a letter of resignation to the
chairperson of the UJC and the President of the University. In the event of a removal or
resignation of any member from the UJC, the President of the University will fill the
vacancy by appointment from the relevant panel previously submitted.
Judicial Council Calendar
The Council convenes during the first month of the academic year and thereafter as
required in accordance with its procedures. At its initial meeting the Council elects a
chairperson. The Council does not convene beyond the traditional academic year (fall
and spring semesters). During the summer, all discipline cases may be appealed to the
Dean of Students
