That Is So
Old
Testament!

Have you ever wondered what
the world would be like if we
never had the word of God. How
would the world respond to life’s
challenges? What would our
society look like? Could we
have a moral society on its own?
The question of the relevance of
scripture is an age old question
and one that deserves our attention.
The Word of God took approximately
1600 years to write and
some 40 different authors under
God’s Holy Spirit were inspired
to record these pages. The unity
of this book goes beyond the
ordinary- it is supernatural.
Hebrews 4: 12 give us a wonderful
description of the Bible,
“For the word of God is living
and active and sharper than any
two-edged sword, and piercing
as far as the division of soul and
spirit, of both joints and marrow,
and able to judge the thoughts
and intentions of the heart”.
Look at the words of action given
to the scripture: active, sharper,
living, piercing, and able to judge.
No other book or instruction can
do what God’s word can. In any
society, there must be guidelines
for every day life. Without these
guidelines, morality is at a loss.
