Ceremonial Salvation?
Just three steps are all it takes!

been baptized shall be saved;
but he who has disbelieved shall
be condemned. If you want to be
confused by scripture you can
be. All you have to do is look
lightly at scriptures which appear
in the first instance to be at odds
with other scriptures. Don’t look
too deeply though, because then
you might find they have much
more to say than you gave them
credit for.

Yes, I’m being cynical. Apologies
for that. But in this atheistic day
and age we cannot afford to be
ignorant of what the scriptures
say at a deep level, and in context
of the rest of scripture. That
involves deep and steady study
of the Word. It is not enough
to assent to your pastor’s sermons
because you must ascertain
for yourself that he speaks
correctly according to the scriptures.
Unfortunately many do
not. Apostate Christianity is rife
currently, with pastors preaching
a comfortable success religion
to keep
people
coming
rather than
repentance
and
salvation.
If there is
no repentance there is no salvation.
Secondly we need to understand
how language changes, especially
in the last century. For
instance to believe something
now has all sorts of imputations.
‘I believe the starting time is ten
o’clock.’ This may or may not be
true and means that in order to
be sure of the starting time we
had better check elsewhere. Or
‘I believe he’s looking for a new
girlfriend.’ ‘Oh, what happened
