Teaches
Parents to
“Pass it On”
By Brandon Knight
After Israel crossed the
Jordan River, Joshua
instructed the heads of
the various tribes to construct
a monument in the middle of
the river as a memorial to their
crossing so future generations
would know about this moment
in Israel’s history when God once
again provided in a huge way for
the nation. How important is it
for parents to pass along to their
children spiritual direction and
guide them to God? Authors’
Jeremy Lee and Jim Burns
both think this is a very important
responsibility that parents
have. Like Joshua, Lee and
Burns both want parents to set
up memorials, or more accurately
“Rites of Passage”, to
teach their children about the
Lord. In their new book Pass it
On Lee and Burns address the
importance of teaching children
spiritual lessons, and offer helpful
information on how to teach
these lessons. All answers are
from Jeremy Lee unless noted
from Jim Burns.
