the POWER OF HIS LOVE. Use
it. Become the best friend your
enemy ever had. Don’t fuss
because s/he doesn’t always
please you. Pour heaps of coals
on his head by returning love
and real help to him or her, just
as you would to a misbehaving
child. You don’t take a grudge
against a child long term if he
behaves stupidly. You tell him
what he has done and that you
don’t expect it will happen again.
Treat adults the same way. What
healing this is! Your prayers are
against the DEEDS of evildoers,
but the offensive person himself
is the subject of your LOVE.
Remember, even Jesus was in
trouble for forgiving sins (Mark
2:7, He is blaspheming. Who
can forgive sins but God alone?)
That was because they didn’t
realise He was God and could
certainly forgive sins. They were
right in saying that God alone
can forgive sins in the eternal
sphere. No man apart from
Jesus has that capacity. But He
confers upon us the outrageous
dynamic of forgiveness one to
another – or give one another a
nudge if repentance is needed.
Praise the Holy One of Israel.
It is funny that the more you love
the Lord and want to be free of
sin, the more you will become
conscious of its presence in your
psyche! TRAUMA! STRESS!
Not at all. That is the Holy Spirit
who loves you and shows you
increasingly the path to becoming
that righteous man whose
prayers are very effective. It
is increasingly joy to run to the
Lord and repent of our sinful
nature, rejoice in His forgiveness
and the magnificent exponential
learning curve that He
has mapped out for us. Because
narrow is the gate, and narrow
is the way, which leads unto
life, and few there be that find it.
(Matt 7:14). Make sure you are
one of them.
We all have sinned. You don’t
have any monopoly on sin. We
are all in the same boat. How
wonderful that we can help each
other get it right with God. Peace
