The Principal
Den schönsten Blick auf die Stadt, verspricht uns das noch recht junge Hotel The Principal in Madrid. Und
tatsächlich. Was versprochen wird, wird auch gehalten. So gibt es an einem Sommerabend kaum einen
schöneren Platz in der Stadt als La Terraza, die Dachterrasse des schönen neoklassizistischen Gebäudes am
unteren Ende der Gran Via. Nicht nur weil der Blick auf die Dächer und Kuppeln der Stadt unschlagbar ist,
sondern weil auch Speis und Trank ganz vorzüglich sind. Aber auch sonst lässt das Haus, das Mitglied der
Vermarktungsgruppe Designhotels ist, kaum Wünsche offen: Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll und stilsicher
eingerichtet, das Ambiente ist diskret, die elegante Bar ein guter Ort, um sich vom Besuch der nahen
Museen (Prado, Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza) zu erholen. Das Restaurant wird von Sternekoch Ramón
Freixa betreut.
The still rather new hotel The Principal in Madrid promises the best view of the city. And indeed, the
promise is kept. On a summer evening, there is hardly a more beautiful place in the city than La Terraza, the
roof terrace on the beautiful neoclassical building at the lower end of Gran Via. Not only because the view
of the roofs and domes of the city is unbeatable, but also because the food and drinks are quite excellent.
The hotel, a member of the Design Hotels marketing group, leaves little to be desired: the rooms are
tastefully decorated and stylish, the ambience is discreet and the elegant bar is a good place to relax after
visiting the nearby museums (Prado, Museo Thyssen -Bornemisza). The restaurant is run by the award

San Clemente Palace Kempinski
Gut, wenn man im sommerlichen Venedig ein Hotel hat, das Ruhe und Erholung bietet. Wie zum Beispiel

Kempinski. Zehn Minuten dauert die Anreise von San Marco mit dem Shuttleboat des Hotels. Dann erwartet
den Gast ein Jahrhunderte alter Park und ein historisches Klostergebäude, in dem das Hotel untergebracht
ist. Die Zimmer und Suiten bieten einen wunderschönen Blick auf Venedig. Drei Restaurants, Swimmingpool,
Tennisplatz, Golfübungsplatz, Fitness-Studio - alles ist da, was man zum Wohlbefinden braucht.
