Agrium is a major distributor of crop inputs and services in
North America, South America and Australia, and a leading
global producer and marketer of agricultural nutrients. We
produce and market the three primary nutrients: nitrogen,
phosphate and potash, as well as ammonium sulphate,
and controlled-release fertilizers. A key differentiator of
Agrium is that we are the only publicly traded company that
crosses the agricultural inputs supply chain. This means
that our focus on growth begins in our manufacturing
facilities and extends to the fields where our customers use
our products. Agrium has approximately 138 million shares
outstanding and a market capitalization of approximately
U.S.$11.7 billion (as of May 6, 2016). Agrium employs
approximately 15,200 people globally who are dedicated
to achieving our vision of being the world’s leading provider
of agricultural inputs, services and solutions.

December 2015 and were granted a new allocation of 10.3
percent of 2016 Canpotex volumes. The expansion of our
Borger, Texas nitrogen facility is on-track to deliver 610,000
metric tonnes of urea production capacity in early 2017.
Through our Retail Business Unit we operate the largest
global direct-to-grower agricultural retail operation with
product offerings in seed, crop protection, crop nutrient
products, merchandise, and agronomic services. We
partner with growers in North America, Australia and
Argentina, and we are a leading retailer in each of these
geographic regions. As of December 2015, Agrium had
over 1,460 retail facilities globally.
Our Wholesale Business Unit manufactures, markets and
distributes crop nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphates,
and potash. We service our customers through a network
of over 100 distribution warehouses, supplied by 14 wholly
owned production facilities and two joint venture facilities
strategically located worldwide. Our strengths include a
low cost in-market position, and the ability to leverage our
extensive retail distribution network.
We own a 50 percent stake in Profertil S.A., an Argentinebased
manufacturer and wholesale distributor of nitrogen
products while YPF S.A., a state-controlled oil and gas
company in Argentina, owns the other half. Debottlenecking
was completed in 2014 with commissioning and startup
completed in 2015. This increased Agrium’s share of
production by ~70,000 tonnes. We have a 26 percent
equity interest in MISR Fertilizer Production Company,
S.A.E. (MOPCO) of Egypt. Our nitrogen facility expansion
in Egypt added two new urea trains and construction was
completed in 2015.
We completed the tie-in of the brownfield expansion of
our Vanscoy Potash Operations in Saskatchewan, Canada
in 2014, and we completed our Canpotex proving run in
