2.4 STRUCTURE OF THE REPORT<br />
This report took orientation from a threefold rationale:<br />
1. Research into (further) evidence for the impact of the<br />
<strong>EITI</strong>,<br />
2. Guidance on how to implement Requirement 7 (‘Outcomes<br />
and Impact’) of the <strong>EITI</strong> Standard,<br />
3. Evaluating support to the <strong>EITI</strong> by Germany – at multilateral,<br />
bilateral and sectoral levels.<br />

In Chapter 6 macro-data of <strong>EITI</strong> countries in a panel<br />
of 98 countries is modeled to identify global statistical<br />
findings.<br />
Perceptions of stakeholders from a convenience sampled<br />
online survey are presented in Chapter 7.<br />
Results from case studies in DR Congo and Mozambique<br />
are discussed in Chapters 8 and 9, including<br />
country-specific results models.<br />
In addition, but separately from the overall report there<br />
will be the following papers:<br />

Abridged version in seven <strong>EITI</strong> languages (Arabic, English,<br />
French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish).<br />
Country case studies of the Democratic Republic of<br />
Congo (DRC) and Mozambique in extended versions of<br />
the chapters of this study. They will be made available<br />
to the two MSGs as working documents in French/Portuguese<br />
for further use.<br />

25 conclusions categorized according to the OECD DAC<br />
criteria of relevance, effectiveness, impact, efficiency<br />
and sustainability are drawn in Chapter 10.<br />
Eight recommendations are issued for strategy, cooperation<br />
and management in the closing Chapter 11.<br />

Notes for implementation of Requirement 7 of the<br />
<strong>EITI</strong> Standard,<br />
GIZ guidance on how best to support the <strong>EITI</strong> at multilateral,<br />
bilateral and sectoral levels.<br />
While input for those separate products is not excluded<br />
from this overall report, emphasis was put on researching<br />
(further) evidence for the impact of the <strong>EITI</strong>.<br />
